Celebiogullari Baklava - Ibrahimli Branch- Interior
Project type
Commercial Interior Project
Location
Gaziantep - Turkey
Date
2024
Role
Design and Execution
This project represents the complete transformation of an existing commercial space, from concept to execution. A major challenge was the limited ceiling height, which ruled out using a conventional false ceiling. To resolve this, a custom lighting solution was developed using exposed metal boxes integrated with linear U profiles, allowing both lighting installation and concealed cable routing.
What began as a technical necessity evolved into a defining design language. Metal elements extend across the ceiling, walls, and interior features, their geometry inspired by the diamond pattern of baklava — creating a clear and recognizable identity for the space. At the counter, a three‑dimensional wooden pattern reflects the same geometry, offering a warm contrast to the metal surfaces.
This project demonstrates how technical constraints can be transformed into a cohesive architectural concept, resulting in a distinctive environment that balances functionality with strong visual identity.
